My lessons are very dynamic and interactive. I believe that learning works best when students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas together, so I always begin by checking in on what topics you are finding difficult. From there, we can break them down step by step and work through examples until everything feels clearer.

I like to encourage students to explain concepts back to me in their own words, as this is one of the best ways to check understanding and build confidence. We also look at practical examples and real-life applications of biology whenever possible, so that the subject feels relevant and engaging rather than just something to memorise.

In terms of format, I usually combine short explanations with guided exercises, diagrams, and questions. I am also happy to adapt my lessons to suit your personal learning style, whether you prefer visual aids, detailed notes, or lots of practice questions.

My background is in marine biology, and I have taught in both formal and informal settings. I have tutored children whilst I was in school myself, as well as taught students and volunteers during my conservation work abroad. These experiences have helped me learn how to explain complex topics clearly and adjust the pace of the lesson depending on the student’s needs.
