At the age of 15 (first year of GCSE), I was in set 4 and had a 43% in Maths (that was an E in Cambridge IGCSE grading). I was disinterested and believed that STEM was not for me. At the age of 15 (first year of GCSE), I was in set 4 and had a 43% in Maths (that was an E in Cambridge IGCSE grading). I was disinterested and believed that STEM was not for me. When I finished my GCSEs, I had a 9 in Mathematics (and got the highest grade in my year). I then went on to doing A Level Maths, and achieved 99% and above in all my exams. I would never have believed that I would hold a Maths degree from a prestigious university at the age of 15. If I can do it - so can you!
Having been a mathematics student myself for over 8 years (GCSE, A Level, Undergraduate), I know the likes and dislikes, dos and don'ts of learning mathematics.
I promise that my lessons will be dynamic and engaging: mathematics is better understood when learners relate to the content and have fun learning it!
I use a combination of presentations, tackling theory and showcasing practical implementations by working through questions and solutions. We will use a wide variety of resources, not just the textbooks that your teachers give you!
I value feedback, and will tailor classes according to the student. Please let me know how you like to learn and we can work on your mathematical journey together!
