Maths doesn't have to be confusing or boring, it can actually become a subject your child feels confident in.

I specialise in helping KS3 students, particularly Year 9, build the knowledge, confidence and problem-solving skills they need before starting GCSE Maths.

Year 9 is a crucial stage, and my lessons are designed to bridge the gap between Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring students don't just keep up with school, they naturally get ahead.

Every lesson is tailored to the individual student. We begin by identifying strengths, weaknesses and any gaps in understanding before creating a personalised plan that focuses on the areas that will have the biggest impact. Whether it's algebra, fractions, percentages, geometry or problem-solving, I break complex topics down into simple, manageable steps.

My lessons are interactive, engaging and supportive. Rather than simply giving answers, I teach students how to think mathematically so they can tackle unfamiliar questions with confidence. I use worked examples, guided practice, exam-style questions, mini challenges and regular retrieval activities to help knowledge stick long-term.

As someone who works with young people every day, I understand that every student learns differently. My calm, encouraging approach helps students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing resilience, an essential skill for success in maths.

What Parents can expect:
- A structured learning plan tailored to your child.
- Regular feedback on progress and areas for improvement.
- Lessons that build both confidence and mathematical understanding.
- Preparation for the increased challenge of GCSE Maths.

My goal isn't just to improve marks; it's to help students become independent, confident learners who walk into Year 10 feeling prepared rather than overwhelmed.

If you're looking for a tutor who will motivate, challenge and support your child while making Maths enjoyable, I'd love to help.
