I am currently a second-year Engineering Degree Apprentice at Rolls-Royce, studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Derby. I am genuinely passionate about working within the engineering industry and always eager to expand my knowledge and develop new skills wherever possible.
During my A-Levels, I studied Maths, Further Maths, and Physics, alongside AS-Level Chemistry. These subjects not only strengthened my analytical thinking but also shaped my approach to problem-solving, which I now bring into my tutoring. I strongly believe that every student has the ability to succeed when supported in a positive yet appropriately challenging environment, allowing them to build confidence and reach their full potential.
My lessons are tailored entirely to each student’s individual goals and learning style. I focus on breaking down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps, ensuring a solid understanding before moving forward. With exams always in mind, I structure sessions to cover key topics efficiently, using exam board-specific questions to target weaker areas and maximise progress.
I am very familiar with the Edexcel and AQA exam boards, and I also have recent experience working with Eduqas (WJEC) and CCEA specifications. This gives me a broad understanding of the different exam styles and requirements across nearly all major UK boards, allowing me to adapt sessions accordingly.
I also encourage students to have input in their learning, so sessions feel collaborative and focused on what benefits them most. I currently tutor students from KS3 through to A-Level Mathematics and have been working more intensively with students over the past couple of months. I’ve received great feedback on improving confidence, understanding, and overall performance.
