I am passionate about teaching young people as when I was younger I always disliked being confused by teachers and the rigid school structure/ way of teaching. Therefore, as a tutor, I always aim to make sure students leave my lessons happier and more confident than they came into the lesson. I always display a professional and confident approach with a touch of humor and fun as a means to keep lessons chill and young people engaged. my lessons will always start with a recap of the previous session and this could be through a game or a fun activity and then we go into exactly what we’re going to learn for the day so I will start off by explaining doing some examples together and then in the next minute you will have independent time to have a go alone and we will mark together in the last 10 minutes of the session and round off again by doing a small plenary activity again this could be included in a game/ round up way.

I will always be using resources like a whiteboard and a presentation when teaching and sometimes I use things like and share my screen for young people to try and interact with me.

The end of the session is always going to be time for you to share, how you feel about the session, how you feel about what we’ve learnt and how I can help you better in the next session and what you can do in the next session to improve more.

I have been teaching like this since I started and find it the best way to impart knowledge to students
