I believe learning should feel positive, supportive and enjoyable. My lessons are carefully tailored to each individual student, because everyone learns differently. Whether you prefer visual learning, structured PowerPoints, discussion, practice questions, or breaking things down step-by-step, I adapt my teaching style to suit what works best for you.

I aim to create a relaxed and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building their confidence. Lessons are engaging and interactive, designed not only to improve grades but also to help students genuinely understand and enjoy the subject.

Alongside my formal studies, I currently tutor friends and family members who are working at SAT and GCSE level. Supporting them has given me valuable experience in explaining English in a clear, approachable way. I focus not just on what to write, but on helping students understand why they are writing it. Whether we are analysing a text, planning a creative response, or breaking down exam questions, I make sure they fully understand the skills behind strong answers.

Through this experience, I have seen how much confidence can grow when a student begins to truly “get” English as a subject. Many students struggle because they feel unsure about structure, analysis or what examiners are looking for. I enjoy breaking these areas down into simple, manageable steps so that students feel more in control. When understanding improves, enjoyment naturally follows and I love seeing that shift happen.

I work hard to ensure every student achieves the very best outcome they can. I carefully track progress and provide clear feedback after each session, including their current working grade and a realistic prediction for the end of the school year. This helps students (and parents) see the progress being made and understand the next steps moving forward.
