I have been a biology and science teacher for 7 years. I have taught National 4/5 Biology, Higher Human Biology and Higher Biology. My lesson structure would be to initially find out where the learner is in their learning, how previous assessments have gone and identify any gaps they may have. After this initial session, each week we would go through key topics and work through a series of past papers to build confidence and understanding. This will also allow learners to work on answering past paper questions and extending their answers. This consistent practice helps to demystify the assessment process and significantly reduces exam-day anxiety. I will upload resources for pupils to use along with my videos on key concepts. I want pupils to keep confident in their biology knowledge! Together, we will build a foundation of knowledge that prepares you for both your prelims and the final exam.
