Whether you are studying Art History at A-Level, undergraduate level, or as an adult learner, I aim to create a positive learning environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, exploring ideas, and developing confidence in your abilities.

I believe that learning is most effective when it is collaborative and enjoyable. Rather than simply memorising facts, we will work together to develop your understanding of artworks, historical contexts, and key themes, while strengthening the analytical and critical thinking skills needed for academic success. Lessons are adapted to your goals, whether that means preparing for exams, improving essay grades, developing research skills, or gaining a deeper appreciation of art and visual culture.

Drawing on my experience as a university tutor, museum educator, and writer on historical and cultural subjects, I use a variety of teaching approaches to make complex topics accessible and engaging. I encourage students to build their confidence by developing their own interpretations and ideas, while providing clear guidance and constructive feedback throughout the learning process.

I also offer support with wider study skills, including essay planning, academic writing, referencing, revision techniques, and time management. My aim is not only to help you achieve your immediate academic goals but also to equip you with the skills and confidence to become a more independent and successful learner. Every lesson is tailored to your interests, strengths, and areas for development, ensuring that you get the most from your studies.
