I am an experienced academician, teacher educator, researcher, educational administrator, and student counsellor with extensive experience in teaching, mentoring, and supporting learners. My qualifications include a Ph.D. in Physics, M.Ed., M.Phil. in Education, and M.Sc. in Psychology. My professional experience includes serving as a Professor in Physical Science Education, Principal, Controller of Examinations, and Student Counsellor.

I have taught students at different educational levels and supported prospective teachers in developing subject knowledge, teaching skills, critical thinking, and professional competence. My academic responsibilities have also included curriculum-related activities, examination management, research guidance, seminar and workshop organisation, and student development programmes.

My teaching philosophy focuses on making learning meaningful, interactive, and student-centred. I use clear explanations, real-life examples, demonstrations, questioning techniques, discussion, problem-solving activities, and digital learning resources to make complex concepts easier to understand. In Physics and Science, I connect theoretical concepts with everyday experiences to encourage curiosity and scientific thinking.

I recognise that every student has different abilities, interests, and learning needs. Therefore, I adapt my teaching methods to suit individual learners, encourage active participation, and provide constructive feedback to improve understanding and confidence. I also emphasise regular practice, effective study habits, time management, examination preparation, and independent learning.

My background in Psychology and Education helps me understand students’ emotional and academic needs and provide appropriate guidance and encouragement. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel confident asking questions, overcome learning difficulties, develop essential skills, and achieve their academic goals. I am committed to lifelong learning and helping every student reach their full potential.
