Murat Eravci

In my entire career as research scientist, I have been involved in tutoring, teaching and supervision of students. During this time, I have realised that I have a passion for sharing my knowledge of biology and that I have strong ability to inspire and motivate students for a given topic by attaining their “aha” moments for previously incomprehensible problems. I strongly believe that motivation for learning is one of the basic requirements that everyone should obtain at the earliest time possible, and teachers have a responsibility to maintain this in all aspects of teaching.
Using creativity and unconventional approaches in teaching, I have realised to be more successful in building trust and strong connections to my students, which supports the learning process for both sides, students, and myself in my role as a teacher.
I would like to be a teacher to empower students to develop an understanding and appreciation for the natural world and its diversity and help them develop their personal values and sense of responsibility with regard to living organisms and their environment.
