In my lessons, I like to give students the opportunity to lead by sharing what they find most challenging, so we can focus our time where it’s needed most. I usually begin by introducing and explaining a topic, then we work through questions together before moving on to independent practice.
I bring over 4 years of tutoring experience, having worked with a wide range of ages and demographics, and across subjects including maths, the sciences, and 11+. I aim to make every lesson clear, supportive, and tailored to each student’s needs.
My teaching style is not only about improving grades, but also about helping students build confidence and develop a real understanding of the subject. I encourage students to ask questions and think critically, so they don’t just memorise methods but actually learn how to solve problems independently.
To make lessons engaging, I use a mixture of approaches — from step-by-step explanations and practice questions, to exam-style papers and real-world examples that show how maths connects to everyday life. I have seen many students progress from struggling with basic concepts to achieving excellent results, and I take pride in making maths less intimidating for them.
I am flexible with scheduling, and my personal number will always be available so students and parents can reach out with questions outside of lesson time. Whether you’re aiming to boost your grades, prepare for an important exam, or simply feel more confident in maths, I am here to support you every step of the way.
I also hold an enhanced DBS check, which ensures I meet the highest standards of safety and suitability for working with young people. This means you can feel reassured that lessons will take place in a safe and professional environment.
