My experience comes from my own journey. Going from a failing student to an A* student was no walk in the park, but using specific methods; revision techniques and efficient strategies, I know for sure, that any student can not only pass, but achieve a high, commendable grade.

My lessons include bespoke lesson slides, worksheets, revision through past papers, and easy access to a professional tutor.

I focus less on memorising techniques, but teach my students the skills required to pass an exam, not to become an English guru. This means everything I teach is specifically tailored to exam techniques; how to analyse language proficiently and how to flabbergast your examiner by moulding your essays exactly as specified in the mark scheme.

This method of focusing on the mark scheme has worked incredibly well - as students who were overwhelmed with learning quotes, learnt instead how to use their textual knowledge to gear their writing to any theme perfectly. One of my students went from a 1 to a 5 in his mocks, within a span of three months and another achieved an astounding grade 8, while previously being a grade 5 student.

I work with everyone. From those with SEN, learning difficulties and dyslexia to those who just cannot wrap their head around GCSE English Literature/Language. My ability to work with a range of students, of different maturities, ages, behaviours, means I am a tutor who can adapt and is patient, no matter the student's capabilities.
