Mugilan Sumathi Balasubramaniyan

I have completed an MSc in Neuroscience at the University of Manchester, having previously graduated with a first-class degree with distinction in a BSc in Advanced Zoology and Biotechnology. With a strong academic background in biological sciences and current experience in tutoring A-Level biology students, I am enthusiastic about supporting students in developing both their understanding and exam-oriented confidence in Biology.
Alongside my MSc studies, I have tutored A-Level biology and chemistry students. This experience has strengthened my ability to communicate scientific concepts efficiently and adapt my teaching approach according to individual students' needs. I particularly enjoy identifying areas where students are struggling and breaking down difficult concepts into simpler and more understandable ideas.
My academic background provides me with a broad foundation across Biology, including cell biology, molecular biology, genetics, physiology, neuroscience, and animal biology.
I am a patient, approachable, and enthusiastic tutor who believes that effective teaching should encourage students to ask questions and develop confidence in their own understanding.
