As an experienced Head of Science and AQA and Edexcel examiner, I bring extensive knowledge of both classroom teaching and assessment. I have taught Science from KS3 through to A-level in British and international schools, including GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Combined Science and A-level Biology and Chemistry.

My lessons are friendly, focused and tailored to each student’s individual needs and goals. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing confidence in their scientific understanding.

Each lesson combines clear explanations, questioning, retrieval practice and targeted activities to identify and address gaps in knowledge. We then apply this understanding through exam-style questions and past-paper practice, focusing on how to interpret questions, use scientific terminology accurately and structure answers effectively. I also help students understand mark schemes and recognise exactly what examiners are looking for.

Lessons are adapted according to the student’s needs, whether that means building confidence with difficult concepts, filling knowledge gaps, supporting current schoolwork or aiming for the highest grades. My goal is for students to leave each session with stronger understanding, greater confidence and practical strategies they can apply independently in lessons, revision and exams.
