I have experience providing home tutoring in Mathematics, supporting students with their understanding of mathematical concepts, homework, exam preparation and problem-solving. Alongside my tutoring experience, I am an engineer by profession, with a strong academic and professional background in mathematics, analytical thinking and logical problem-solving. Mathematics has always been an important part of my education and professional life, and I genuinely enjoy working with numbers and applying mathematical concepts to everyday and real-world situations.

I am confident in teaching GCSE Mathematics and supporting students across different ability levels. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style according to their individual needs, confidence and learning pace.

My teaching approach is patient, supportive and structured. I first identify the areas where a student is struggling and then break the topic down into simple, easy-to-understand steps. I encourage students to understand the reasoning behind a method rather than simply memorising formulas. I use worked examples, guided practice and gradually introduce more challenging questions as the student's confidence improves.

I also believe that building confidence is just as important as improving mathematical ability. I create a comfortable learning environment where students feel able to ask questions, make mistakes and learn from them without feeling judged. I regularly check understanding throughout a lesson and revisit topics when necessary.

My key qualities as a tutor are patience, clarity, adaptability, strong mathematical knowledge, good communication, problem-solving ability and a genuine enthusiasm for helping students succeed. My engineering background also allows me to demonstrate how mathematics is applied beyond the classroom, helping students see the practical value of what they are learning.
