Monica Burgos

Hello! My name is Mónica, and I am a native Spanish speaker from Colombia. I hold a degree in English Language Teaching and have a certified C1 level of English. I have over ten years of teaching experience.

My background has given me an understanding of language learning and lesson planning. I enjoy helping students feel confident, motivated and comfortable throughout their learning journey.

My Spanish or English lessons are personalised to your level, interests and goals. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced learner, we will work together to make progress. Lessons can focus on speaking, listening, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing.

I use practical methods, including guided conversations, real-life situations, useful expressions, engaging activities and clear grammar explanations. We can practise Spanish for travel, work, study, everyday communication or personal interest. I can also introduce you to Colombian and Latin American culture, traditions and expressions.

As I speak English at C1 level, I can explain challenging Spanish concepts in English when necessary. This is helpful for British students who are beginning to learn Spanish or want to understand the differences between both languages.

My aim is to create a friendly, patient and supportive environment where you can ask questions, learn from mistakes and improve at your own pace. I would be delighted to help you achieve your goals. Let's make learning Spanish practical, enjoyable and rewarding!. I will support you at every step of your learning journey. Contact me for more information, I'll be glad to help you.
