Most students cannot speak Spanish despite years of learning in school because languages are taught in a passive way - the teacher gives you a vocab list or grammar rule and you memorise it. However, we all learned our native language by using it! For this reason, my lessons are 100% interactive and, rather than focusing on rote memorisation, vocab and grammar rules will be acquired naturally and stress-free!

For example, rather than simply telling you what the word 'naranja' means in Spanish, I will guide you by giving clues, such as 'it's a fruit and it has the name of a colour'. I bet you already guessed 'orange'! Then, I will encourage you to use the word yourself in context, for example by helping you to say 'I eat an orange' in Spanish. This way, the language comes to life and is a much more enjoyable and effective way of learning than studying flashcards.

My lessons also contain a strong emphasis on exam technique, with a laser focus on practice papers in the months leading up to exams. I give my insights of how to secure top grades, given my strong knowledge of mark schemes and examiner reports. As a result, my students go into their exams very well-prepared.

While correcting your mistakes and teaching you the language, my goal is also for you to become an independent language learner. I will share my years of experience in this field and recommend tips and tricks to help you improve.
