My approach to tutoring is supportive, patient, and focused on building confidence. I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, as this is an important part of learning.

I use clear, step-by-step explanations and adapt my teaching to each student’s needs and learning style. I start by identifying any gaps in understanding, then practise similar questions together before giving the student independent tasks. I also use past exam questions to help students become familiar with the exam format and improve exam technique.

A typical lesson lasts around 60 minutes. This allows time to review previous work, learn a new topic, and practise questions to reinforce understanding.

I am currently a teaching assistant, where I regularly support students in maths lessons and help them with classwork and revision. I have passed my own GCSE Maths and have practical experience working with students of different abilities.
