My lessons follow a clear “I do, we do, you do” approach, which allows students to gradually develop their knowledge, skills and confidence. I begin by introducing and explaining the topic clearly, using examples and demonstrations to show students what successful work looks like. I then work through activities with the class, giving students opportunities to ask questions, discuss ideas and practise their understanding with guidance and support.
Once students are confident, they complete tasks independently, allowing them to apply what they have learned and demonstrate their progress. I regularly check understanding throughout the lesson and provide feedback to help students identify areas for improvement.
I aim to make my lessons informative, engaging and accessible to students with different abilities and learning needs. Where appropriate, I use practical activities, real-world examples and technology to make learning relevant and enjoyable.
My experience in teaching has helped me understand that every student learns differently. I therefore adapt my teaching, provide additional support where needed and challenge students to work beyond their comfort zone.
Ultimately, my goal is to create a positive, supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing their skills. I want every student to leave my lessons with a stronger understanding of the topic, greater confidence in their abilities and the motivation to continue learning and reach their full potential.
