I have a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, 2 masters degrees in Biochemistry and Public Health, a Professional Diploma in Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. I have taught Biology for over 10 years and Biochemistry for over 5 years.
Over the years, I have learnt how to teach curriculum content in a very simplified way which I call ‘Learning made Easy’. I make use of electronic instructional materials such as videos, pictures, songs and raps as well as hands-on practical and field experiences to teach my lessons in a very interesting way.
I carry out formative and summative evaluation of students' performance by conducting quizzes, giving assignments, tests and examinations with a prompt feedback to students. Students are usually happy with their results as they always perform excellently. I have presented over 400 students for Secondary School Certificate Examinations in Biology and recorded 100% success i.e. all students passed the subject. I have been given recognition awards as the best teacher and best lecturer for many years in a row and I always ensure that this is constantly maintained.
I also ask students to rate my teaching from time to time, in order to identify ways through which I can improve my teaching. I look through their comments and suggestions and make modifications where necessary.
Students always love my teaching and look forward to the next lesson as they are able to easily understand and retain what they have been taught. Every learning session is fun, impactful and rewarding. Give it a try!
