My lessons are built around understanding, not memorisation. I hold a BA and MA in Clinical Psychology, as well as an MSc in Business Psychology, which gives me a strong grounding in both the theory and the real-world application of psychological concepts - something I bring into every session to help ideas feel relevant rather than abstract.
Each lesson is tailored to the individual student. Before we dive into content, I like to understand where you're currently at, what you're finding difficult, and what your goals are , whether that's passing an exam, strengthening your foundations, or simply developing a genuine interest in the subject. From there, I structure lessons around clear explanations, real-life examples, and plenty of practice questions, so concepts are reinforced rather than just introduced once and forgotten.
I pace lessons according to how you're progressing rather than sticking rigidly to a plan, and I regularly check in to make sure things are actually making sense before moving on. I also encourage questions throughout, there's no such thing as a "silly" question in my sessions, and I'd rather we slow down and get something right than rush ahead.
As a tutor, I'd describe myself as patient, approachable, and genuinely invested in helping students build confidence, not just knowledge. I know psychology can feel overwhelming at first, especially with all the theories, studies, and terminology, but my goal is to help it click in a way that feels manageable and even enjoyable.
Looking forward to working with you and helping you reach your goals!
