Miss Natalija Rutkovskaja

Russian is my mother tongue, and I have a bachelor's degree in Russian Philology and Literature from Vilnius, Lithuania. I also hold a bachelor's degree in English literature from London, United Kingdom and am a qualified TEFL (teaching English as a foreign language) teacher. Additionally, I am a qualified Russian-English interpreter and have 4 years of Art & design education.

Teaching and learning languages have always been my passions. I enjoy connecting with students and assisting them on their learning journey. I primarily offer conversational lessons and we can discuss your learning goals to accommodate any additional needs.

I provide a free, up to 30-minute consultation via phone or video call, during which we can have an informal chat about your goals, language level, and get to know each other a bit to see if it is a good fit. :)

A little bit about me: I call myself an adopted Northerner as I am based in Manchester! In addition to tutoring, I worked in the legal property sector in the UK for over 15 years. I am also a visual artist, and I enjoy practicing mindfulness, hiking, and contributing to the community in my free time.

I have experience teaching children from year 3 to adults. My most recent teaching experience involved teaching Russian phonetics to an RNCM opera singer. I have also taught English abroad in countries like Vietnam and Cambodia. Presently, English is my primary language; however, I am a native Russian speaker and thus, feel confident in teaching Russian, English as a foreign language, or English Literature.

I always strive to provide a valuable learning experience through natural and interactive conversations, sprinkled with a sense of humour.
