Experienced KS1 and KS2 teacher, my lessons are designed to be engaging, structured, and adapted to each student’s individual goals. I believe that the best learning happens when students feel comfortable, challenged, and actively involved, so I aim to create a supportive environment where questions an links to the world are always encouraged.
Each session typically begins with a quick review of previous learning to remind students and to reinforce understanding and build confidence. From there, we move into new content, which I explain clearly using examples and step-by-step guidance. I like to balance explanation with practice, so students have plenty of opportunities to apply what they’ve learned during the lesson and may have a brief video clip to watch to animate the explanations.
I adapt my teaching style depending on the student—whether that means breaking concepts down into simpler steps, using real-life examples, or incorporating visual aids. Lessons are interactive rather than lecture-based, and I often include problem-solving activities, discussions, or mini challenges to keep things dynamic, engaging and break up the session.
No two students are the same, so I adapt and tailor each lesson to suit individual learning styles, pace, and objectives—whether that’s improving grades, preparing for exams, or building confidence in a subject.
With experience working with a range of students and levels, I understand common challenges learners face and how to overcome them.
Overall, my goal is not just to help students understand the material, but to help them enjoy the learning process and develop the confidence to succeed independently.
