My lessons are structured, engaging, and fully tailored to each student’s individual needs. I begin by assessing the student’s current level and identifying any gaps in their understanding. From there, I break down topics into clear, manageable steps, using simple explanations and worked examples to make even challenging concepts easier to grasp.
A typical lesson involves guided practice, where we work through questions together, followed by independent practice to build confidence and reinforce learning. For GCSE students, I also incorporate exam-style questions and teach effective exam techniques, helping students improve both accuracy and time management. For younger students, I focus on building strong foundations in a fun and supportive way, ensuring they develop confidence early on.
My experience as a tutor with CoachBright has strengthened my ability to adapt my teaching to different learning styles and support students from a range of backgrounds. Through this programme, I have worked closely with students to build their confidence, improve their understanding, and create a positive attitude towards learning. This experience has also enhanced my communication skills, patience, and ability to explain concepts in a way that truly resonates.
I have also been recognised with an SSAT award, which reflects my commitment to academic excellence, leadership, and making a positive impact within my school community.
Overall, my teaching style is friendly, patient, and encouraging. I aim to create a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes, and ultimately achieving their full potential in maths.
