Mira Olson

As a Graduate of the University of Edinburgh in Mechanical Engineering, I understand how intimidating and discouraging learning maths can be. My goal is to help make it a more approachable subject for all ages. I have around a year of experience tutoring school maths and am also a football coach for Edinburgh Uni's 3rd team. I find it extremely rewarding to be able to share and build on existing knowledge and would say that I have a basics-first style.

As a tutor, I offer individual-focused teaching, aiming to generate true understanding. I understand that people learn different ways and am always adaptable person to person. Generally, I like to work through coursework, but will occasionally bring in my own resources if I find areas to be under explained or lacking in breadth.Without genuine comprehension in fundamentals, I often find people struggle at higher levels.
