I’m a first-year Electronic & Electrical Engineering student at UCL with a strong mathematics competition background (SMC Full Marks, AMC 12 Distinction, BMO Merit). I’m a first-year Electronic & Electrical Engineering student at UCL with a strong mathematics competition background (SMC Full Marks, AMC 12 Distinction, BMO Merit). My lessons are clear, structured, and highly personalised—I focus on helping students truly understand ideas, not just memorise steps.
Lesson format:
• 5–10 min diagnostic: quick questions to identify gaps and goals
• Core teaching: explain concepts step-by-step with intuition and common mistakes
• Guided practice: work through examples together, then gradually increase independence
• Targeted drills & feedback: timed questions, exam technique, and error analysis
• Summary + homework plan: a short checklist and practice set after each session
I can support primary/lower-year maths, GCSE Maths, A-Level Maths (including Further Maths), and university-level topics such as Calculus/Advanced Mathematics. For exam preparation, I emphasise method marks, clear written working, and efficient problem-solving strategies. For stronger students, I also teach advanced thinking and competition-style approaches.
I communicate fluently in English (TOEFL iBT 107) and can also explain in Mandarin when helpful. My schedule is flexible around my UCL studies, and I’m available for up to 20 hours per week (UK student visa limit).
In addition, I track progress carefully and keep lessons goal-oriented. After each session, I can share brief feedback on what we covered, what improved, and what to practise next. I’m happy to use past papers or your school’s materials, and I can also provide extra exercises tailored to your child’s weak areas. My aim is to build confidence and consistency: helping students develop strong habits, ask the right questions, and become independent problem-solvers over time.
