My lessons are tailored to your individual needs and are based on your current school year, as well as your reading, writing, and comprehension levels. They will also focus on your understanding of the plays and novels you are studying.
Each lesson will be personalised to target the areas where you need the most support, whether that is improving essay structure, developing a deeper understanding of the text, learning and applying literary terminology, or using the appropriate academic language in your essays. I can also provide guidance on understanding literary devices and analysing how they are used in Shakespeare's plays.
To ensure that lessons are as effective as possible, I will need to know which exam board you are following and which texts you are currently studying so that I can plan sessions that best support your learning and help you achieve your goals in English.
In addition, I can help students develop effective revision strategies, improve their confidence in discussing texts, and strengthen their analytical skills through regular practice and constructive feedback. Lessons will be engaging, supportive, and adapted to each student's pace of learning.
