Michele Lodetti

Hi, I am Michele, a student studying at the University of Sussex.

As an Italian tutor, I have gained extensive experience in language learning and have a deep understanding of the challenges that come with it. Having learned English fluently and Japanese and Spanish conversationally, I have developed a passion for the process of language acquisition. I believe that learning a new language is not just about mastering grammar and vocabulary, but also about immersing oneself in the culture and gaining a deeper appreciation for the language.

To help my students learn Italian effectively, I implement various methodologies that are tailored to their individual learning styles. I focus on building strong fundamentals such as grammar rules, verb conjugation, and sentence structure. I also utilize flash repetition techniques to help students retain new vocabulary and concepts. In addition, I provide guidance on other techniques such as immersion and using technology to enhance language learning.

I understand that every student has different learning needs and goals. Therefore, I believe in creating a customized learning plan for each student. This includes assessing their current level of proficiency, identifying their strengths and weaknesses, and setting achievable goals. Throughout the learning process, I provide ongoing feedback and support to help my students reach their full potential.

In addition to teaching Italian, I also share my knowledge of Italian culture with my students. This includes introducing them to Italian cuisine, music, art, and history. By immersing themselves in the culture, my students gain a deeper understanding of the language and develop a greater appreciation for the beauty of Italy.
