Hello! I’m a Psychology graduate from Newcastle University, currently studying for a Master’s degree in Economics. I’m passionate about helping students develop their understanding of Psychology, build confidence and achieve their academic goals.
I achieved an A in A-level Psychology, alongside A* grades in both English Language and History. I also graduated with a BSc in Psychology, achieving an Upper Second-Class Honours (2:1). My academic background has equipped me with strong analytical, critical-thinking and written communication skills, which I aim to bring to every tutoring session.
Alongside my studies, I have gained valuable research experience investigating animal behaviour and cognition. My work has included research into place cells and spatial representations in quail, as well as physical cognition and problem-solving in zebra finches. These projects have developed my understanding of psychological theories, research methods, statistical analysis and the evaluation of scientific evidence.
As a tutor, I aim to create a friendly, supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and tackling challenging topics. I understand that Psychology can sometimes feel overwhelming, particularly when learning key studies, remembering theories or developing evaluation skills for examinations. I therefore focus on explaining complex concepts clearly, breaking topics into manageable sections and helping students apply their knowledge to exam-style questions.
My approach is personalised to each student’s needs, abilities and goals. Whether you want to strengthen your understanding of the specification, improve your exam technique or develop greater confidence in Psychology, I will work with you to identify areas for improvement and make progress towards your goals.
My aim is not simply to help students memorise information, but to develop a deeper understanding of Psychology and the skills needed to succeed academically.
