I have been a teacher for 10 years in two of the UK's top independent schools and before that I was a private tutor for 4 years, so I have a lot of experience at both a one-on-one and full classroom levels. Throughout my teaching career I have developed a reputation as a teacher who delivers fun and engaging, accessible lessons, and someone who is able to communicate complex ideas with ease and demonstrate them dynamically through Desmos, with which I am a bit of a pro! As such, I've been mentor to other teachers and delivered trainings to colleagues as to how to refine their craft.
I specialise in teaching the higher-end of A Level in such a way as to break down the more challenging concepts and make that palatable, through rigorous proof of the results and use of visuals to make tangible sense of the mathematics itself. That being said, I have also taught GCSE for 10 years and am happy to tutor to that level, as well as STEP and TMUA prep which I have successfully lead many students through.
My passion for maths is ongoing and I am myself preparing right now to return to my studies and complete a PhD in Quantum Mechanics!
Do get in touch if you are interested in online maths tuition - I am able to be very flexible with my hours and am sure to be able to find a time to suit your needs.
