Understanding the basics is the foundational necessity for learning. I usually begin each session with a miniature lecture session. I focus heavily on critical thinking and application, ensuring students can apply knowledge to new scenarios rather than just memorizing definitions. My goal is to foster a deeper understanding of "how" and "why" biological systems function, allowing students to develop problem-solving skills they can apply to exams and future coursework. I encourage students to bring their own homework, quiz mistakes, or challenging topics to the session so we can address their specific needs. I am patient and adaptable, tailoring my teaching style to match the students’ learning pace and preferred methods. My goal is to turn "I don't know" into "I can figure this out."
