My lessons are friendly, engaging and tailored to the individual student. I begin by getting to know the student, identifying their strengths, areas for development and what they would like to achieve. I then structure each lesson around clear, achievable objectives, using a mixture of explanation, questioning, discussion and practical activities to keep students actively involved in their learning.

For English, lessons can focus on developing reading comprehension, creative and analytical writing, grammar, essay structure, literature, exam technique and revision, depending on the student's level and goals. For Maths, particularly at primary and early secondary level, I focus on building secure understanding of key concepts through clear explanations and guided practice.

I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I adapt the pace and level of challenge throughout the lesson and provide constructive feedback so that students leave each session with a clearer understanding of the topic and greater confidence in their abilities.
