My name is Mia and I am currently a Master student in my final year of study training to be a Creative Arts Psychotherapist. I have a passion for teaching and offering support for those studying English at all levels, but I specialise in teaching individuals with special educational needs (both mild and complex). I have been a tutor for GCSE English for over 6 years and have a taught a vast variety of student, all with different needs in which I adapted my sessions for. Examples of the client groups I work with:

*Child and Young Adults in care requiring additional learning support
*Inpatient Care for both adults and children learning while receiving treatments in healthcare settings
*Non-Verbal Children and Adults with a diagnosis on the Autism Spectrum Disorder
*Adults and Children with a Diagnosis of ADHD and Autism who attend mainstream school and need additional support
*Children and Young People who need support with their learning due to complex behavioural needs that may have resulted in exclusions.
*Children and Young People needing support with learning who have mental health difficulties such as Anxiety.

I specialise in teaching for both neuro-typical and neurodiverse individuals and tailor my sessions specifically to my client's needs!

I provide personalized support, skill development and provide practical, creative strategies to overcome any challenges my students may face. As a neurodiverse learner myself, the classroom proved particularly difficult at times (especially towards exam season!). I have a fun, creative and empathic style of teaching that is centred on building confidence and practical skill sets.
