Hi there, I am Mélisande, French and British, a recent graduate from Sciences Po Paris and experienced private language tutor. I have been teaching French, English and German to student of all ages for the last 6 years, and love to share my passion for languages. I can support students from any level, first-time French learners, to school pupils needing some support building their confidence before exams, to professionals looking to expand their career horizons. I aims to adapt my course content to your needs, skills and interests! I believe that language-learning should be engaging and teach you about the culture of a country as well. With me, you can learn about French history, politics and literature, arts, music, cinema, theatre, geography. The possibilities are endless, and through regular practice you can improve your language skills in no time. Usually, I split up our class time into four phases : an informal conversation warm-up, then, reviewing written/reading/listening material from past sessions, discovering a new piece of material to expand vocabulary and keep you curious, and finally a more formal speaking exercise or reading exercise to focus on pronunciation and build up your confidence. Of course, this model is flexible and will be adapted to you needs, be it preparing an exam, a job interview or an upcoming trip! I hope this short blurb was able to convey my personality as a tutor. Being bilingual is a huge advantage for my teaching, because I am able to reveal the linguistic transparencies between French and English, which can help you grasp the similarities between these two beautiful languages! See you soon in the classroom,
Mélisande
