I would prefer to generally use PowerPoint presentations when teaching, as students are usually more familiar with that method. However, this does not mean that the PowerPoint presentation will consist of full text and writing. I will simplify the content depending on the learning pace and confidence of the student, as well as explaining any area not understood during the online meeting. I find reviewing the notes of students to be very helpful to first of all see and understand the way they design their work for their understanding, and to check if they are staying on track with the work. Weekly mini-homework would be set for the checking of the knowledge status of the student; however, it would not be to the degree to interfere with the work set by their original teachers from the school they attend. If the students are also happy to, I would love to set study groups for some parts of the teaching to help them feel more comfortable ( as they would see other students requiring support for the same subject and may have the same questions or concerns as them) and set fun competitions and quizzes between groups to ease the weight of the academic content. I would also recommend online sources for students to use during their own time or revision time, as extra help may be needed in some cases.
