I am best at problem-solving; whether it is a GSCE Biology or Maths word-problem I love a challenge! I use real world examples and applications for understanding tough subjects, as I believe it is easier to grasp when we can visualize what we learn. As a neuroscience undergraduate, studying the aspect of learning and the way our brains work has helped me understand that everyone has a different brain with different needs, and I am willing to perfect a study method just for you! I would help students with past papers, worksheet problems, and make my own mock exams/quizzes to fully prepare them. Because I have ADHD, I understand the difficulties that come with learning, but because I got myself a tutor for the subjects I struggled in, and found the best teaching method for myself, I was able to get my grade requirements for my first-choice university! This is what I want to provide for students who are already thinking about their 3rd level education. As I have 3 younger siblings, I have mastered the art of patience and accepting other people’s way of learning without rejecting their unique train of thought. I also want to heavily encourage the younger generation to pursue scientific careers, because the main reason they don’t is due to intimidation and misinformation; Biology is not as complicated if you make it simple, chemistry is not as difficult if you make it fun, and physics is not as arbitrary if you apply it! I can be the teacher that will actualize this.
