Melania Malhotra

I am a recently graduated student who has just completed A-levels in Spanish, Mathematics, Economics and a dissertation (EPQ) achieving AAAA* and am now currently headed to Warwick University to study Economics and Spanish. I also completed the following GCSEs in Mathematics, English, Spanish, Geography, Drama, Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Chinese. Having achieved a combination of Grade 8s and 9s across my GCSEs, I understand first-hand what it takes to succeed in the UK exam system and, importantly, how to approach exams strategically. I am now preparing to study Economics and Spanish at the University of Warwick, and I am excited to share the knowledge, techniques and study habits that helped me achieve strong results. I also have direct teaching experience at GCSE level, having tutored a Spanish student through their GCSE course and helped them achieve a Grade 9.

I am able to provide engaging, supportive lessons for GCSE students and younger pupils across the subjects listed above, adapting my teaching style to suit each student’s needs, confidence and learning preferences. I believe that learning should be enjoyable and that developing genuine interest in a subject makes difficult concepts much easier to understand and remember. At the same time, I recognise that exam technique is often half the battle at GCSE, so I place a strong emphasis on understanding mark schemes, structuring answers, managing time and recognising exactly what examiners are looking for.

My lessons are structured but completely adaptable, using PowerPoints, GCSE textbooks, exam questions and other resources. I like to follow each student’s course specification point by point, working through the content comprehensively and systematically so that no topic or detail is left unturned. My aim is to build both confidence and academic ability, while making sure students feel fully prepared for their exams.
