Hi, I’m a friendly and patient tutor who will help GCSE students build confidence in exams and really progress in their studies. I’m currently a university student studying Computer Science. This has given me the ability to explain key concepts step by step and apply logical thinking and problem solving skills. I tutor GCSE Maths and GCSE ICT with a strong focus on supporting students whom may be struggling or lacking confidence. We will not rush through content but rather take time on concepts and help to understand properly by the time exams will occur. We will explore on how to pick up method marks and how to correctly illustrate our final answer using the correct method to ensure full marks on questions. Students will boost their grades consistently and those whom are struggling towards achieving a passing grade we will work to ensure you can achieve your desired pass mark before exams, from grade 3-5. In lessons I take a calm and supportive approach. Questions are broken to simpler steps and clear examples are given, encouraging students to work it out slowly and ask questions without feeling pressured. We will make use of past papers and use their style of questions depending on the students exam board. Students will understand common technique used, common mistakes and amount of marks awarded for each piece of working out depending on the question. This will allow students to be confident going into the exams. If you have any questions feel free to ask, I hold an enhanced DBS, clear communication with both students and parents is important. I’m happy to offer an introductory session to understand a students needs and create a learning approach which works best and give them the best outcome.
