My lessons are structured but relaxed, and always tailored to the student. I usually start by checking how confident they feel with a topic, then go through explanations step by step before moving on to practice questions together and independently. I focus on building understanding rather than just memorising methods, and I make sure students feel comfortable asking questions. I’ve mentored students at secondary school level and worked in a children’s choir, so I understand how to adapt my approach to different ages, learning styles, and confidence levels. My aim is to create a supportive environment where students feel encouraged, motivated, and able to make real progress.
