I would describe myself as a very down-to-earth and approachable tutor who often adopts a very student-guided approach to teaching.

Based on my previous experience as a mentor for prospective University applicants, typically I conduct my lessons in a way that, right from the start, sets expectations well between the student and myself; there's an understanding of what the student wants to get out of the lesson and exactly what I would be able to truthfully and honestly provide.

Based on this, the lessons really can look like whatever you want them to be. Whether it's analysing a book, an anthology, an essay question, an essay, or even just practicing conversational English.

You really become in charge of the lesson!

As long as I'm aware of your needs, I'm open to helping out in whatever way I can, but I will also always make sure to be honest about the limits to my abilities.

For instance, while I am able to provide some lesson material, with your guidance as to what you would like to get out of the lesson, ultimately I am still limited in how much I can provide and would, in an ideal world, expect the student to already have existing material they wish to discuss.

I will always try my best to ensure the lessons are conducted to the best of my ability, but again if I feel as though I would not be able to produce a worthwhile lesson, I will always let you know.


Beyond English, I've completed GCSEs in 14 different subjects, with an additional 6 at the IB-level. I would be open to discussing potentially tutoring for other subjects or even for University applications ie. LNAT preparation. What's good is I think I have a myriad of experiences that makes me very flexible and adaptable to your needs.
