My lessons are relaxed, friendly and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I focus on understanding rather than simply memorising methods, so I first identify any areas the student finds difficult and then work through them step-by-step at a pace that suits them.

Lessons can include explaining key concepts, working through examples together, practising exam-style questions and reviewing mistakes to understand how to improve. I encourage students to have a go at problems themselves rather than simply watching me solve them, as I believe this helps build both understanding and confidence. I am also happy to explain topics in different ways or revisit anything the student finds challenging.

I have experience tutoring Maths, including supporting students with 11+ Maths, and I enjoy adapting my explanations and lessons to suit different ages and abilities.

I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Maths and currently study A-level Maths and Further Maths at a specialist mathematics school. As a recent GCSE student myself, I understand the challenges students can face and aim to explain topics in a clear and approachable way.

I can support students with understanding new topics, preparing for tests and exams, and developing their problem-solving skills. I also help students identify common mistakes and understand how to avoid them in the future.

My aim is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building their confidence. I want every student to leave a lesson feeling that they understand something they previously found difficult and are better prepared to tackle problems independently.
