Mavis Wang

Teaching Experience:
Though new to Chinese language instruction, my background in education is robust. I've tutored Year 1 & 2 psychology students, focusing on complex concepts and data analysis techniques. I developed and executed tailor-made lesson plans, featuring interactive problem-solving activities and mock tests, which led to significant academic improvements. Notably, one student saw a 13% grade increase on their psychological report following my tutelage.

During my second year at Durham, I also gained experience by mentoring first-year psychology students. This has equipped me with the insights and skills to adapt my teaching methods to different learning styles and educational backgrounds.

Teaching Methods:
My approach to teaching is client-centered and personalized. I understand that one size doesn't fit all in education, and I work to craft lessons that cater to your unique needs and aspirations. Expect interactive, engaging, and comprehensive sessions that are far from monotonous.

Qualities:
I pride myself on being outgoing and easygoing, fostering a relaxed and enjoyable learning environment. My ultimate goal is to make your educational journey not just enlightening but also enjoyable. I aim to be more than just a tutor; I'll be your support system, cheering you on as you achieve each milestone in your language learning journey.
