My lessons are calm, supportive, and easy to follow. I start by asking what the student is struggling with, then break the topic into simple steps, so it feels manageable. Because I’ve been taught by excellent tutors myself, I understand how important clear explanations and encouragement are, so I use the same approach that helped me learn.

Each lesson usually includes:

A quick check-in to see how the student is feeling and what they want to focus on

Short, clear explanations of the topic using examples that make sense

Guided practice, where we work through questions together

Independent practice, so the student can try a few questions on their own

A confidence check, making sure they understand before moving on

I teach KS2–KS3 and early secondary students in Maths, English, and Science, and I keep the lessons interactive so students stay engaged. My experience helping younger players in tennis coaching taught me how to explain things step-by-step, and my volunteering and school leadership roles have helped me stay patient, organised, and encouraging.

Overall, my lessons are designed to help students feel supported, confident, and ready to improve — just like the tutors who helped me.

The lesson will be relaxed and fun, while still teaching key concepts through active recall, mini quizzes, and video and documents
