I am a specialist Geography tutor with over 20 years of classroom teaching and 15 years as an AQA and Edexcel examiner. My examining experience gives me deep, practical insight into mark schemes, assessment objectives and common examiner expectations, so I know precisely what is required to secure top grades at GCSE and A-Level. I work with students who want clearer explanations, stronger exam technique and a structured plan to close gaps and build confidence.

My lessons are calm, focused and tailored to each learner. I begin by diagnosing current understanding and recent performance, then I plan sessions that build secure subject knowledge alongside the specific skills needed to access marks. I model high-scoring answers step by step, breaking down case studies, data questions and extended writing into repeatable strategies. Students then practise similar questions with immediate, targeted feedback, so misconceptions are corrected early and progress is visible. My results are consistantly high hitting the top 5% percentage *A-A and grade 9s globally.

I am experienced in supporting a wide range of abilities, including EAL and neurodiverse learners, and I adapt explanations, resources and pacing to individual needs. Whether a student is aiming to move from a 4 to a 6, or from a B to an A, I provide clear structure, exam-focused practice and honest, constructive feedback. My approach has consistently helped students
achieve significant grade improvements and enter exams feeling prepared, confident and in control of their revision.
