As a student at the University of Cambridge, I have always found learning exciting and love to encourage others to love it too! I have limited experience teaching professionally, however throughout sixth form and secondary school, I volunteered to help others in lower years and often my own peers with their learning. I have experience working with young people of all ages through volunteering in Girl Guiding, through which I have been a DBS check and safeguarding training.
I feel confident in teaching Maths and Geography at all levels, with A*s in both A-levels, as well as an A in Further Maths. I also teach Sciences at GCSE and all subjects for SATs or primary school subjects. I acheieved 10 grades 9s in GCSEs so feel equally confident in English as I do maths for younger age groups.
My lessons are always tailored to the students goals and preferred learning styles, using a combination of discussion, worked examples and practices questions. I believe that learning is best when students are interested and I will therefore always try to incorporate real world relevance where I can. I aim to build confidence and a love for learning, as well as boosting assessed work performance.
I teach online and make the most of screen sharing and handwriting examples out, to allow clear explanations and model answers.
