I offer online lessons to primary school students who are approaching SATs (Year 5/6), and students of a similar age who may be struggling with Maths and English generally. The lessons can be held over numerous online platforms, but Zoom and Microsoft Teams are preferred. Students will be able to direct the lessons themselves, and we will work at the pace that they want to work at. For example, if they believe they are struggling with a particular subject, skill or even topic, then we will focus our lessons around what they are finding most difficult until they feel completely confident in their own ability. This focus can take up one lesson or ten lessons, it is entirely up to the student. Study materials that I will use consist of Twinkl SATs past papers and resources, which I can share with the student so we can work on the content together. I will also be using Zoom whiteboard and Microsoft Teams whiteboard to demonstrate workings out and write notes if needed. Although I lack private, online tutoring experience, I have volunteered in primary school settings for years, supporting students one-on-one with aspects of learning that they have found difficult. I have been described as kind and most importantly patient when supporting students with their work.
