Maryel Alvarado Nieto

Hi, my name is Maryel, you can call me Mary, I am a Medical Doctor from Venezuela, so Spanish is my native language (which I speak it correctly, not only because I was born here); I graduated at Universidad de los Andes, where, as part of my training, I served as a speaker on scientific topics, but before that, I used to teach Math and English to teens.

There are two main reasons to be here offering individual and group lessons, one of course is financial, and I would be lying if I don’t say this first, and the other one is that I really love languages, so I believe with my whole being that there’s nothing better that learning something new and be able to share it with others by speaking fluently.

This is why I will try my best not to only teach you and help you understand Spanish, but to make you enjoy your own learning process. I can adapt myself to my students’ needs, because I truly believe that a teacher is as good as she understands where her pupil is. I am patient and empathic, so allow me to become your Spanish tutor.

I offer my lessons via Skype or Zoom; the format and content of the classes depend on the level of the language that a particular apprentice has (personalized learning), and my main interest is that with each lesson the interaction guarantees the feeling of easiness and accomplishment of knowing something useful and new.
