My lessons are fully tailored to you whether you're studying Computer Science, Maths, or IT, or want to build practical skills in programming or Microsoft Office. I start every new student with a short chat to understand your current level, goals, and where you're struggling, so lessons are shaped around you rather than a fixed syllabus.
A typical session begins with a quick recap of previous topics to reinforce learning, followed by clear, step-by-step explanations of new concepts using real-world examples rather than abstract theory. I believe understanding why something works is just as important as knowing how so I encourage questions throughout and check understanding regularly rather than just moving through content. For subjects like programming, we work through practical exercises together for Maths, we practise past-paper style questions to build exam technique and confidence.
I keep a relaxed, patient pace, adjusting depending on how quickly you're grasping a topic, and I always leave time at the end to summarise what we've covered and set light practice for next time, so progress builds steadily session to session.
My experience spans online tutoring, private home tuition, and classroom teaching in Computer Science, Maths, and IT, backed by an MSc in Information Technology and a background in software and data. I've worked with a range of learners, from those wanting focused exam preparation to complete beginners in programming, and I genuinely enjoy helping students go from confused to confident.
