I am both comfortable with either online or in person lesson. It would be more ideal to have my student sat in front of me in person, as I would develop a much better understanding of where my student’s struggles and blank areas lay within the subject I would be teaching them. It would also be easier to hand mark work, or hand out past papers etc. I would ideally be using resources from books, such as cgp books, or online resources. Making my student understand the subject would be done visually, whether it be online or in person, however, in person would be easier as I would be able to represent the work in a more clear manner, for instance portraying work on a whiteboard. I would want to make my student feel comfortable with me, and open to any questions or issues they may have regarding the subject. I am also open to helping my student with things such as last minute exam preparation, and would also consider being just as understanding and considerate with work. I would be settings things such as homework, and having recap sessions with my student to ensure they have gripped the subject quite well. I am open to any further help my student might need, as I understand maths is not the easiest subject to gather your head around, I too struggled with maths at a younger age, so I would love to help those that also do not have the best time with the subject.
