Mary Schwarz

Hello everyone! My name is Mary, and I’m truly excited to be here with you.

I teach Spanish, Galician, English, and Portuguese, as well as psychology — not just the theory, but also the practical side that connects directly with real life. Over the years, I’ve worked in clinical psychology, so I love bringing that experience into the classroom to make learning feel alive, human, and meaningful.

One thing you should know about me is that I deeply value trust and support. If you ever need someone to rely on — whether it’s about studies, personal challenges, or finding your way — you can always count on me.

Also, I know what it’s like to emigrate and start fresh in a new place, specially as a student, so I truly understand how challenging, exciting, and sometimes overwhelming that can be.

I also have a special interest in disabilities, and I believe that every person has unique strengths and ways of learning. My goal is to help each of you discover what works best for you and to make sure everyone feels included and valued in this classroom.

When I’m not teaching or working, you’ll probably find me painting ceramics, baking something sweet, or reading a good book. Those are my little escapes — moments that remind me how creativity and calm can go hand in hand.
